Florida authorities have determined HBCU shooting was racially motivated
The shooter reportedly was turned away from campus after refusing to not identify himself and later returned shooting three people
Jacksonville, Florida – Three people were shot dead during a racially motivated shooting on the HBCU campus of Edward Waters campus. A White male in his 20s tried entering the campus, but was later turned around by security officers after he refused to identify himself.
The man returned to his vehicle and left campus without any incident. But he later returned with a bulletproof vest, an AR-15, and a handgun. He opened fired on a store and killed three people before turning the gun on himself.
CNN has reported that the shooter did not know his victims and he acted alone.
